Hello people,
This is Shawndean here, Johnston's younger sister. I have noticed people are still coming and reading here and there and I am very thankful. I know that I haven't been updating as much. I am actually rushing right now to go back to work in like an hour. Tonight is my first night working after exactly 2 months without work.
With that said as soon as I get home in the morning tomorrow I will be updating more about my brother's current situation...but he is no longer in Nevada...he has been moved to Los Angeles California. I will be posting the new information ASAP...I swear.
To those that have read the thread on N_01 before it crashed and burned...I am still sober going on 50 weeks next Monday. I am still staying safe and not mixing myself up in any real drama or anything to hinder myself. I will be posting pictures of myself with my brother and also the most recent letters....I am a little bit pissed to find out everything on that thread was killed I liked going back to reread it...I knew I should've copied everything earlier but shit happens. Oh well.
AND I am also going to re-upload some of the old letters because we do have a new scanner and well I am slowly getting things running again. I had to buy a new laptop and I am very low on funds and my brother's patreon was taken down so that hurt us a bit. SO I am going to put up my own patreon with my own artwork when I get the chance...
Because we are hurting a little I am starting my old part-time job tonight and I am also going to apply for another job hopefully in manufacturing...full-time. That way I'll start saving up moneys. Anyways I got less then an hour to take off for work...stay awesome people and don't forget to brush them teeth ;)

I've been following Johnston's story from the threads on 8chan, and from how you speak of him and how he has handled his situation, I know that your brother is a good man. A man who has made some bad decisions, to be sure, but a good man nonetheless. He's already paid the price for his mistakes, so the state should just leave him the fuck alone. The terms of his probation seemed like a trap more than anything else. His original offense is one thing, but the idea that he and anyone else can be incarcerated for fictional artwork in a first-world country is fucking insane. Western society has lost its damn mind. I'm sorry the two of you keep getting pulled back into this mess.
ReplyDeleteI saw his last thread on 8chan before he went back to court, about his plan to defend his right to artistic freedom, and while I didn't expect that to end in his favor, I have to say that your brother has some serious balls to get back in there and keep fighting. The system is fucked, and the rest of us are afraid of getting "exposed" by speaking out about it (myself included). Please tell Johnston that we are all still thinking of him, and that we're proud of him for defending our rights.
And Shawndean, you are such an amazing person for supporting and standing by your brother the way you are. I wish more people could be like you and make the effort to understand. Let us know if/when you get that new Patreon page up. I suspect some people might be uncomfortable donating to an account attached to Johnston's name rather than yours right now, particularly after Patreon and Paypal's latest crusade against "unsavory" and NSFW projects, but I've sent something your way anyway. It's the least I can do after everything the two of you have given us.

ReplyDeleteAs someone who draws as often as I can I must say you have my support, I dont personally enjoy drawing lolis and such, but I wpuld hate it if someone tried to illegalize my choice to do so
